MENTORING
Fit for life empowers young people through meaningful mentoring relationships that build confidence, resilience and aspiration.
By connecting young people with positive role models, Fit for Life fosters personal growth, positive decision-making and motivation.
This helps equip participants to lead happy, healthy, and purposeful lives.
CONNECTION
Connection is at the heart of Fit for Life, creating a safe space where young people build genuine friendships and a sense of belonging.
Through the program, participants learn empathy, trust, and collaboration.
Young people form healthy relationships that strengthen confidence, wellbeing, and connection to community.
FITNESS
Fit for Life goes beyond a workout; it's about building healthy habits, confidence, and a positive mindset.
Through fun, inclusive activities, young people discover the benefits of movement, teamwork, and perseverance.
Young people learn that an active lifestyle supports not just their bodies, but their overall wellbeing and resilence in everyday life.
SAFETY
All young people deserve safety. Fit for Life ensures that every young person feels secure, respected, and supported.
Through clear boundaries, trusted relationships, and positive role modelling, the program creates a consistent environment where participants can take healthy risks, grow in confidence, and engage fully without fear of judgement or harm.
Every morning, even as the days grow warmer and the holidays come closer, young people are coming together to start their day right with PCYC NSW. For many, Fit for Life is more than a routine; it’s a reason to wake up, a place to belong, and a gift that keeps giving.
This Christmas, the impact is especially clear. “We’ve seen school attendance increase, kids who were without purpose now mentoring others. We meet their families, and it’s just a fantastic opportunity to break down barriers and build confidence.”
This Christmas, your support can help more young people access this life-changing opportunity. Just $100 supports one young person for a month in Fit for Life, giving them structure, mentorship, and a safe space to grow.
This Christmas, give the gift of purpose. Give the gift of Fit for Life.
For Jayden, Fit for Life has been “pretty life-changing.” He says, “I never wanted to go to school, but it’s made me want to go. I’d recommend it; it’s the best thing that’s ever happened.” Noah, another participant, adds, “It helps me get to school and have some exercise to look forward to. I learn from the police officers and help out the younger kids. It means a lot to be a mentor.”
This sense of purpose is the heart of PCYC NSW’s mission. “We’re creating lifestyle habits before they get older,” says Stacy, Club Manager at PCYC Bateau Bay. “Youth programs are at the core of what PCYC does. We’re creating community for life.”
At Christmas, that community shines brighter than ever. “We’ve had parents tell us how it’s helping their kids,” shares Stacy. “Seeing them walk out of the club with big smiles… they’ve got big things happening into adulthood.”
